070 Shake "Guilty Conscience" (Def Jam)

The video opens with a message from Dani Moon :

Although I'm not a boy,
I wanted to display a boy
Being broken
How he manages his sadness
When he is not allowed to cry
From young
A boy must create a shell
That protects him from
His own emotions
But when that shell cracks
It creates an intense amount of vulnerability
Where the boy must replace the shell with actions
That make him seem as if the shell never broke

He replaces this shell with Ego, Desire and Pride.

The first scene shows an upper body shot of a young man, breaking down in tears and wiping his face while the song tittle appears in the middle of the screen. The singer then appears upside down hanging from a pole while singing about voices in her head not letting her rest, the imagery with the lyrics creates a sense of confusion and like the world she knows has been turned upside down. The shot of 070 Shake in the foreground smoking, with people in the background hitting a car with baseball bats put the main focus on Danielle Balbuena but still features her "friends" as an important part of the video. There is a second type of camera pr a filter used to create a CCTV type footage effect that makes a rebel vibe to  the video. There is another shot of a different man crying and clenching his fists, creating the ideology of these men feeling trapped. There is a turning point in the video where after all the men are seen behind a fence (creating trapped and prison cell imagery) one of them jumps over this fence and they all run free. This creates the semiotic of them all being released and now have freedom. This new sense of freedom is continued throughout the rest of the video consistantly. This is shown through scenes such as shaving heads, fighting, smashing things , driving in a roofless car in the night and playing card games.
